I Am So Dadgum Southern

I love sweet tea. And everywhere you go here, when you order tea, it's always sweet tea. It's not like that in TX. But here, oh yes. Sweet tea is the default. Mmmmmm.

Ooh, I love sweet tea, but I'm glad that they serve it unsweetened here in Texas because I tend to go the artificial sweetener route. Mmm, Splenda.

So yesterday I went to McAllister's and bought two gallons of their sweet tea! Delicious! One for our council meeting last night and one for the secretary and I to sip on throughout the week!!

It's just so good when it touches your lips!!

I have a strong desire to like tea, and I can't say that I've actually tried "sweet tea." I like a mix of tea and lemonade, and I LOVE making sun tea in my sun tea jar, but I really could take or leave the drink itself.

In other news, my momma leaves tonight and the homesickness is setting in big time. I'll probably call you on the way home from the airport.

Are you serious?! Sweet tea is really the default where you are in South Carolina?
I love sweet tea and unfortunately am in Southern CA where most people have never heard of it. Or country ham!
We have recently been blessed by the arrival of Chick-Fil-A which offers it. A good thing; I actually ate there tonight.
must sleep now; church in the AM
God bless your efforts!
